Me, my wife and our 1 year old had the Cape Platter for 2 and it was a fantastic experience. The Moroccan Slow Cooked Lamb Tagine was rich and comforting, with tender lamb and a lovely balance of fruit and vegetables. The West African Creole Style Beef Stew had a deep tomato and pepper flavour with melt in the mouth beef, while the Chicken Sizzler came out hot and full of flavour, perfectly marinated with groundnut and lime. The platter also came with great sides that really completed the meal. Everything was freshly cooked and served generously. We could not resist taking away a slice of Biscoff cheesecake which was just as delicious and the perfect sweet finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food felt both homely and special. Highly recommend if you want something a little different packed with flavour.

Had the gluten free buffet. On once month. Very nice and flavoursome. Friendly staff. The only down side was they had no gluten free lager. But other than that food was great tried a bit of everything.

Another 5* review for this delightful place in the local Crook community allowing people to connect and really enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and great food everyday! Had Sunday lunch with friends today which was a huge plate of hot home cooked tasty food, mouthfuls of juicy meats and perfectly cooked real vegetables (roast parsnips, runner beans + carrots) roasted & mashed potatoes, topped off with an extra jug of gravy! Doh! Almost forgot the two perfectly cooked Yorkshire puddings! We also made room for dessert…a fruit crumble with custard! 3hrs free parking.

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, fast service, menu taking inspiration from quite a few cultures, all executed perfectly. Whole table finished every dish, great draught selection. Would highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back whenever I'm up north. Forgot to take pictures but you'll have to take my word for it, you won't be disappointed!

Went specifically for Gluten free Caribbean buffet. Food was very tasty hot and fresh. It was lovely having food you didn't have to worry about and could enjoy the new flavours. Staff are very friendly and explained everything, and encouraged you to go back for more. The whole place was very clean toilets where spotless. We will see you again very shortly.

Is one of the best places we have ever eaten at. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Was a west African buffet. Everything was so delicious, and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back and try their other menus.

I've attended three times over the last couple of months for the monthly vegan buffet. The food is always incredibly delicious and so reasonably priced. Would recommend the buffet to any vegan or vegetarians out there, there is lots of choice with many tofu options, curries, rice and other delicious things. The desserts are also incredible if you can fit one in!
